Sips at the Station Fundraiser for Park Place Outreach: This week, Ardsley Station hosted this celebration, showcasing Park Place Outreach's exceptional work aiding over 6,500 at-risk youth since 1984, providing shelter, meals, and counseling. Their collaboration with Greenbriar Children's Home offers crucial long-term support. The $10 admission featured Ardsley Station's special menu, live music, hors d'oeuvres, and raffle tickets, all proceeds dedicated to Park Place Outreach.
New Christmas decorations: As downtown Savannah gears up for the holiday season, a spectacular addition graces Ellis Square at City Market—a towering stack of ornate balls, a massive 2,200lb display of festive cheer, proudly marking the city's spirit. Standing 20ft tall, each ornament weighs a hefty 220lbs, proudly claiming the title of the Southeast's largest ornament. Alongside this impressive spectacle, downtown adorns itself with new bows and wreaths, setting the scene for the city's grand Christmas tree installation on November 22, accompanied by the ceremonial placement of a holiday wreath at City Hall. Upcoming festivities include the tree lighting ceremony at Bull & Broughton on November 24 and a delightful family-friendly event at City Market and Ellis Square on November 25, complete with appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Claus. For easy access to more holiday events, a convenient QR code stationed by the ornament stack provides a gateway to discover other joyful happenings throughout Savannah.
